Determination

If ever my heart beats to the rhythm of my mind,
Would be the time spent with you, nestled close I would find,
When my soul walks on rainbows above clouds of rain,
It is you that walk with me, up above all the pain

This love beats so strong, like an oak in the knoll
Determination pulls out from deep in my soul
To defeat any foe that should cross our sweet prints
Of a life build on trust, love's foundational mint
I yearn to provide you with all that you need
Security, comfort are not just a dream
A lifetime companion to share good, to share bad
The trust in knowing it's okay to be sad

Each day can be filled with the joy of our love
Each moment seen heavenly as if sent from above
A walk hand in hand through life by your side
And to know that in you I have a friend to confide

How high we will soar on the clouds of our dream
What some thought unlikely, is now sure, it would seem
We opened the door, took a brand new start
And with each step we take, I feel growth from our heart
