November Moon
Twas the velvet of night and a November moon
I began my long journey past the portals of doom
I knew lay ahead was my dear Luminesque
And for touch of her heart, my all I would risk
I set out with trumpets blasting past my faint ear
For the capture of heart, and a brave coming year
For my journey would linger through glimpses of past
But I knew in an instant that my love would so last
All around me they gathered with deafening cries
But above me they whispered, "Carry on," from the skies
It was silence that led me through the outreaching arm
Of a forest whose passion came bridled with harm
"Let no one," I tarried, "stand tall in my way"
"This warrior will fight from the dawn of each day"
Whatever it takes me, whatever my plight
Rest assured my sweet princess, for you I shall fight
Ode to the angels who float around thee
Who bring forth such beauty and allow me to see
Past the darkening wood into fields of mushroom
And delivered me to you on a November moon
